Our Engagement with the Clients

Sakhi Trust, Hosapete, Karnataka

Chintha is partnering with Sakhi Trust to strengthen its Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) systems through a comprehensive capacity-building initiative. The engagement focuses on enhancing the team's competencies in developing and using MERL indicators, implementing robust data collection processes, ensuring data quality, conducting research, and undertaking impact evaluations to generate evidence for informed decision-making.

As part of this collaboration, Chintha will also support Sakhi Foundation in documenting and analysing its 25-year journey by tracking the growth, contributions, and experiences of its board members, staff members and long-term co-travellers to capture the evolution of the organisation, highlight key milestones and achievements, and generate valuable insights into the organization's impact on communities and the individuals who have been integral to its mission over the past two and a half decades.

Providing strategic and technical expertise tailored to the organization's research and evidence-generation needs. The role involves supporting the design, implementation, and dissemination of research initiatives, applying appropriate methodologies to generate rigorous and actionable insights.

Currently, the engagement focuses on supporting a research study on the Life Skills Collective among adolescents, employing participatory research methods.

Youngistaan Foundation, Hyderabad, Telangana

Providing technical support in strengthening its Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) systems across key programme areas. The engagement focuses on developing comprehensive MERL frameworks, including theories of change, results frameworks, indicators, data collection tools, reporting mechanisms, and learning systems to enable evidence-based programme planning, monitoring, and decision-making.

In addition, supporting the Foundation in designing and developing research proposals for strategic programme areas, with a particular focus on children and adolescents. The work includes conceptualising research studies, developing robust methodologies, designing quantitative and qualitative research tools, establishing evaluation frameworks, and generating evidence to assess programme effectiveness, inform scale-up strategies, and strengthen advocacy for improved developmental outcomes among children and adolescents.

ECHO Centre for Juvenile Justice, Bengaluru, Karnataka

Contributed to a research study examining the intersection of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, and tribal socio-cultural practices. The engagement involved exploring how customary traditions, early unions, age determination, community norms, and legal frameworks interact in tribal communities, and the implications of these intersections for children, families, and justice systems.

The research employed a mixed-methods approach, including qualitative interviews with key stakeholders and community members, alongside quantitative data collection and analysis. Responsibilities included research design, development of study tools, data analysis, and synthesis of findings to generate evidence that can inform policy, programme design, and culturally responsive approaches to child protection and justice.

Karnataka Regional Organization for Social Service (KROSS), Bengaluru, Karnataka

Supported KROSS NGO in strengthening its monitoring system by developing a comprehensive data collection tool for one of its flagship programmes. The engagement involved understanding the programme's objectives, identifying key monitoring indicators, designing structured data collection instruments, and ensuring alignment with the programme's results framework.

The tool was developed to facilitate systematic data collection, improve the quality and consistency of monitoring data, and enable timely tracking of programme progress and outcomes. It also supported evidence-based decision-making by providing reliable data for programme review, reporting, and continuous improvement.
